Cameroun: THE CPP REAFFIRMS ITS NON-PARTICIPATION AT THE 20TH MAY PARADE THROUGHOUT THE NATIONAL TERRITORY :: CAMEROON
To be clear and unambiguous, given the current state of things, the CPP will not participate in any parade across the country. Any other message is only a rude attempt to manipulate public opinion regarding the CPP’s actual position.
Indeed, our message remains constant: NO CELEBRATION OF UNITY IN EXCLUSION, VIOLATION OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, THE REJECTION OF TRUE DIALOGUE AND THE BLIND REPRESSION OF CAMEROONIANS!
The CPP is for a real celebration of unity that goes through dialogue between Cameroonians, acts of solidarity vis-à-vis the neglected persons and concrete measures to correct what divides or threatens the cohesion or the living together of Cameroonians.
The CPP is against mockery celebrations, which do not take into account the reality, discontent and suffering of Cameroonians.
Instead of participating in mockery demonstrations to the glory of one man, we will manifest our unity through acts of solidarity with Cameroonians in distress and reflections on ways to save our national unity in these troubled times.
The CPP warns all media that are complicit in disinformation campaigns about her. The leaders and officials of the CPP are known. No serious media can relay the words or comments of individuals who are not members of the CPP.
The CPP intends to take all the measures it deems necessary to ensure that such misinformation does not thrive. Strong and dissuasive provisions will not fail to be taken against the legal or physical persons who are complicit in such a campaign.
The unity of our country is not the result of a decree, but the result of a permanent construction that cannot ignore any of the sons and daughters of this country. We don't build unity in the wind!
For the Cameroon People's Party
Frank Essi
Secretary General
