CAMEROUN :: The CAMEROON PATRIOTIC DIASPORA CALLS FOR THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF PATRICK ASANGA NDEH
The Executive board of the Cameroon Patriotic Diaspora (CPD) has learned with deepest concern, the arrest of one of its members, the Federalist activist Patrick ASANGA NDEH, and his detention at the State Secretariat of Defense in Yaoundé.
The Executive board of the CPD is very worried about this new repressive and barbaric act of the Yaounde dictatorial regime.
Patrick ASANGA who lives in Hamburg in Germany was invited as member of the diaspora, by the Prime Minister of Cameroon, Joseph DION NGUTE to the Major National Dialogue that held from Sept 30 to Oct 4 in Yaoundé.
The Executive board of the CPD can recall that the spokesperson of the Major Dialogue Dr. George NGIDE EWANE assured and swore that “No one invited to the Major National Dialogue will be arrested” for whatsoever reason.
The arrest of Mr. Asanga is another proof of the dubious and rogue nature of Biya’s autocratic regime and the evidence that the invitation of separatist leaders on exile to the Major National Dialogue was just a trap to arrest them.
The Executive Board of the Cameroon Patriotic Diaspora requests the immediate and unconditional release of Patrick ASANGA as well as Wilfried SIEWE, a member of the Diaspora in Germany who was illegally arrested in Yaoundé on Feb, 18 and has since been detained at the Kondengui prison.
The Executive Board is closely following this case and is in contact with Barristers Alice Nkom and Agbor Balla to have new developments on this newly reported case of persecution of the Cameroon government against a member of the diaspora.
