Cameroun - Cameroon, Post-Electoral Litigation: Institutionalized Fraud and the Politics of Allegiances

In South African chiefdom, particularly, with the Zulus, the chief is only chief for the number of allegiances that he receives. This points to a system of relations based on practical expectations such as security and opportunities. At the core, a form of reciprocity that is enshrine at the core of politics. In this political system, loyalty is expressed through deeds, not words. It matters not what you say but that which you do. As long as you obey the laws, keep the peace & give that which you owe to the republic (be they taxes, fees, etc.) you are showing loyalty to the republic.

Thus, this notion of allegiance requires sticking to law.

The Biya’s regime, however, is not known for fanatically sticking to the letter of the law. This is a presidential regime with reinforced executive power where the president rules by decrees and with controlling legal authority. Rude scammers finally exposed in the eyes of their fellow citizens and the huge international community.

Indeed thirty six (36) years that this institutionalized fraud had managed to impose a lazy tyrant and disdainful to power in Cameroon.

Prof. Kamto and his team, despite the findings of this constitutional court, will have reached an election campaign to restore KNOWLEDGE and COMPETENCE to Cameroon's scale of values.

This is for us the first step towards an ineluctable victory.

We will unfortunately plead in favor of the non-international recognition of the presidency of Paul Biya and his regime, if by chance this constitutional council considers him the winner on the basis of the indisputable frauds which enameled the presidential election of October 7th in Cameroon, and which emerge in particular from post-electoral disputes.

This is because a proper regime – earns loyalty and love through action. The last election reveals the central, humiliating lie of Cameroonian life – this regime has not earned its loyalty, not from everyone, and thus demands it. Now, as ever, all allegiance rings false, and everyone who pleads allegiance to the regime do so in bad faith and is debased by its demand. In the end, this is perhaps the best argument against this form of allegiance – it is humiliating.
